If I have a red wire and black from my ceiling, where should I connect the red wire for this fan if I want it to connect with my light switch? With the ground group of with the black wires?

I have this fan and remote, but the remote does NOT have a learn button. It has a DIM/ON dip switch. How do I program that remote? I recall turning it off, then on two times, leaving it on. The light blinks twice in pairing mode, but what do I do with the remote to pair it?

Okay my ceiling fan have a little bit capacitor my fan it's much faster and my fan wubble

You guys skipped the most important steps around removing the pieces to get the fan down. The guy just pulls the already unscrewed fan down? We need that step. How do you remove the pieces to get to the screws?

We install one and the light is extremely dim.. is there anyway to fix, we tried different light bulbs but didn't make a difference

I have 4 of these fans, 3 works perfectly, but one wobbles and makes the clicking noice. I inspected the blades, I see the space between one blade and outer metal motor cover is larger than the other blade's. I think that causes the inbalance of the fan, how do I fix it?

When programing remote it didn't do what video shows. Fan motor started right up no flashing light but seems to work as should. As snoozieg8210 said the one screw holding receiver is a mother to get to. Thanks for the vid.

I almost installed this fan but I accidentally lost the parts

I needed a new fan to replace the older one in my bedroom. My Portage Bay 50252 Hugger 52" ceiling fan came with a mounting bracket but not a junction box. Not sure if what's in the ceiling is what is needed before my friend comes to do the installation. To play it safe, I was thinking about buying a junction box in case it's needed. What would be the correct junction box for this fan?

The Abbeywood is very nice, it's one of my favorite Hampton Bay ceiling fans. The others are Wellston, Redington, and Glendale.

Can I bypass the remote and wire it directly to the wall switch?

You told us to remove the two screws from the ceiling box box, but you loosened it

When you told us to loosen the two slotted screws, when you removed the hanger bracket you remove the slotted screws too

Why bother taking the ball off the rod lol 😂you simply put the collar, cover on first sit the down rod down and pick up the cover, collar, feed the wires through , and secure it in place. You added unnecessary steps to this. Other than that good job.

ya i puchased a 6 ft and 8 ft and i cant seem to get them to pair seperate. so I work nights and am a commercial electrician and she turns on the 8 ft in the living room and the bedroom is so bright have hit the breaker and the of tab on the living rm switch programed the bed room and rinse and repeat and same ball game?

That's a hideous fan. Have fun getting replacement lighting for it when they stop making it in a few years.

There is absolutely no reason to put tape around wire nuts if you install them correctly. If you don't install them correctly, you shouldn't be installing them at all.
